After playing in a varity of bands since 1970 and studying classical guitar under Cathleen Warner, Nicky started the British punk band UK Subs in 1977. With a number of top thirty singles and top twenty albums as a song writer, Guitarist and often producer, he left to start New Red Archives label and record two albums with Ten Bright Spikes. In 1996 he rejoined the UK Subs recording two new albums and currently plays in the Krautrock/Spacerock band Hedersleben. In 2013 Nicky played on and co-wrote music for 1970 Swiss ledgeneds Brainticket and Nik Turner of Hawkwind fame.
